Earth Day - Our Connectedness to Nature

Our Connectedness to Nature

My book, “Life does not need your consent”, was born out of exploring and understanding my connection with nature. As Humans we experience our duality as light and darkness. Our challenges and frustrations may seem difficult or dark, but they push us into a period of deep learning about ourselves. These heart opening experiences allow us to grow. As we work towards understanding and overcoming our challenges, we connect at a deeper level with ourselves. We emerge understanding our unending source of strength, courage, humility, compassion, forgiveness and we can build upon them.

We come from different environments. Some are supportive, healthy and loving, while others are not. It does not matter where the roots of our life begin. We are born whole and complete. Like the root of a plant, we can push through and thrive through most challenging situations and prosper. These natural processes are there to cheer us on to find the motivation within ourselves. A flower is delicate, yet strong and beautiful. Flowers are a manifestation of the steadfast roots below, displaying how they have flourished and thrived in the harshest conditions. How can we work towards creating harmony and deeper strength within ourselves?

We can make an effort to become aware of behavior that is unhealthy. We can work towards changing our behavior to align with all that is good for our health and our spirit. We can then align with our innate potential to self-heal through conscious choices that promote our well-being. I wish you a magical Earth Day for 22 April, may your internal world grow to match the beauty of our external world.
