The past and present are insignificant to Change. Change unfolds constantly and with certainty, through an endless and timeless passage. It infiltrates every aspect of our lives. Change is like true love: enduring and constantly there. But often conscious change can feel as if we are drifting in an unknown sea; with our minds flooded with a mix of desires, dreams, and memories, all influencing our choices.
I frequently meet people working through significant life changes during my coaching sessions. Change can be complex to process alone. It is generally not visible in a mirror or to someone looking at you from the outside. “How to become Your own Doula – A Pocket Guide to your Pregnancy”, was largely penned during our global lockdowns. The book is designed to offer practical ideas and exercises, which you can work through on your own. I hope the pages of the book will lead you to find the insight and strength to manage your pregnancy changes.
We all have the ability to change and work on specific goals like resolving relationship tensions, restoring confidence, releasing sadness or depression, or simply allowing ourselves to usher in information that deepens our perspective. Working through changes only requires guidance and undertaking small incremental steps towards your desired outcome. Plan and energize your intentions, it will bring clarity to your goals. The real changes happen in your own awareness. If you are all that you have, you are still the richest person in the world!
To quote Raymond Carver, Late Fragment: “And did you get what you wanted from this life, even so? I did. And what did you want? To call myself beloved, to feel myself beloved on the earth.”
